Syringa

This is my third completed piece for Senior Project. It is a cast bronze neck piece with a kiss-lock clasp in the front. There are scattered sterling silver cast lilac flowers attached to the pieces.

The title of the piece, Syringa, comes from the genus name for the lilac plant.

My collection focuses on capturing memories of my grandmother’s garden and incorporates floral elements and scroll-work designs through the use of traditional metalsmithing techniques.

Hortensia

This is my second piece for Senior Project. It is a sterling silver, hinged locket with a pierced lace pattern on both the front and the back. It holds dried hydrangea flowers from my grandmother's garden.

The title, Hortensia, comes from the common name for the genus Hydrangea.

My collection focuses on capturing memories of my grandmother’s garden and incorporates floral elements and scroll-work designs through the use of traditional metalsmithing techniques.

Convallaria

This is my first completed piece for Senior Project. It is a copper pendant with an etched lace pattern and cast sterling silver lilies of the valley flower attached to it.

The title of the piece, Convallaria, comes from the genus name for the lily of the valley.

Electroforming_Project 1 Finished!

I finished my electroformed neck-piece over the weekend! I don't have any final pics of the cleaned up, sanded piece, but here it is all put together. I am really happy with the way that it came out, and how it evolved from a nest form.
