J2 Narrative Project Concept Maps

These are my spider charts for 3 stories that I need to choose from for the narrative pendant project.

Mommom's Garden- I used to spend almost every day of the summer with my grandmom, swimming and helping her with her garden. She always had these colorful, beautiful flowers growing and I loved them. The flowers that I remember the most were Lilys of the Valley, Hydrangeas, and Stargazer Lilys. I would like to convey the time that we spent together and how much I love it.

Down the Shore All Summer- When I wasn't at my grandmom's during the summer, I was down the shore with my family. We have a trailer that we stayed at every weekend.. We would go to the beach and the boardwalk. These are some of the earliest memories I have of the summer.

The Arch of Cabo San Lucas, Mexico- When I was 15 and 17, my family took vacations to Los Cabos, Mexico. During the first trip we took wave runners to Cabo San Lucas where there is a huge rock formation in the shape of an arch that is where the Pacific Ocean meets the Sea of Cortez. On the second trip, we took a glass-bottom boat ride to get even closer to the arch. The water is so blue, and against the blue sky, It appears to go on forever. The boat ride lets you see all of the colorful fish swimming beneath you, and the whole scene is so beautiful.

  1. it seems that your themes have alot to do with summer.

i wanna know more about the gardening thing. where or how the story went. i think that would be cool

and also the last one... the blue ocean... that could actually be fantastic. maybe... a lil ammonia cold patina on copper to make it blue could be fantastic.

i'm excited to see them. the summer theme. it could be really beautiful with some chasing and repousse the flower. that could just be fabulous

  2. I'm excited about the gardening one too... I'm thinking about a seed packets and dried flowers; miniature gardening tools. Maybe even incorporate the seeds from the lily of the valley flowers...
